After your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our airport representative will greet you and escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you can take a rest or explore the streets of Thamel nearby your hotel. In the evening, we will organize a short pre-trip meeting and introduce you with your tour and trekking guides, who will brief you about the preparations to be done for the trip.
Itinerary of Upper Dolpo Trek
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel
Day 02 : Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley
After breakfast, at around 9am, our guide and driver will pick you from your hotel and you will go for the sightseeing of famous UNESCO world heritage sites around the valley.
Pashupatinath (World heritage site)
The world famous Hindu temple Pashupatinath is regarded as one of the holiest and oldest Hindu temple in the world. This temple is located 5km east from the city center at the bank of holy Bagmati River. Pashupatinath area is widely decorated by various ornaments dedicated to Lord Shiva. As followed by the Hindu Culture, the cremation of the dead is done in Pashupatinath area by the side of the bank of the holy Bagmati River.
Swyambhunath: Monkey temple (World heritage site)
Swyambhunath, also named as the monkey temple because it is surrounded by the monkeys all over the area. Famous for people following both Hinduism and Buddhism, this temple not only provides the cultural and religious aspects but also offers various arts, architecture and the magnificent view of the Kathmandu valley from the western side of its hillock. Swyambhunath Stupa is imprinted by the eye of Lord Buddha, which stands for peace and knowledge.
Bouddhanth (World heritage site)
Bouddhanath is the oldest and the largest stupa in the valley, which was built during the Licchhavi dynasty in the 5th century around 2500 years ago. Its old name is ‘Khasa’ but later it was changed to Bouddhanath by the government. You will find many Buddhist pilgrims and monks from Tibet and various places going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels.
Patan Durbar Square (World heritage site)
Patan Durbar Square is situated at the center of the Lalitpur city. The main attraction of Patan Durbar Square is the ancient royal Palace, where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided. There are many temples and idols in this area. You can also explore the Newari lifestyle, food, and culture in the square and visit museums that contain many ancient items that have a lot of historical significance.

Day 04 : Fly from Nepalgunj to Jhuphal (Dolpo) and trek to Dunai (2,850m/3 hours trek), overnight at lodge.
Day 05 : Trek to Ankhe from Dunai (2,896m/6 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
Day 06 : Trek from Ankhe to Sulighat 6 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
Day 07 : Trek from Sulighat to Phoksundo Lake (3,611m/5 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
Day 08 : Acclimatization and rest at Phoksundo Lake, overnight at lodge.
Day 09 : Trek to Phoksundo Khola 4/5 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
Day 10 : Trek from Phoksundo Khola to Phoksundo Bhanjyang 6/ 7 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
Day 11 : Trek from Phoksundo Bhanjyang to Shey Gompa (4,500m) via Kang-La pass (5,360m) 5/6 hrs, overnight at lodge.
Day 12 : Acclimatization and rest at Shey Gompa, overnight at tent/ lodge.
Day 13 : Trek from Shey Gompa to Namduna Gaun (4,800m) by passing Saldang La (5,200m) – total walking time 7 hours, overnight at lodge.
Day 14 : Trek from Namduna Gaun to Saldang (3,620m/4-5 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
Day 15 : Trek from Saldang to Yangze Gompa (4,960m/5 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
Day 16 : Trek from Yangze Gompa to Sibu (4,560m/7 hours walk).
Day 17 : Trek from Sibu to Jeng-la Phedi (4,900m/5-6 hours , overnight at lodge,
Day 18 : Trek from Tokyu to Dho Tarap (4,040m) - 5 hours Walk, overnight at lodge.
Day 19 : Rest Day at Dho Tarap, overnight at lodge.
Day 20 : Trek Dho Tarap to Tarap Khola (Kamakharka) (3,800m/7 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
Day 21 : Trek from Tarap Khola to Khanigaon(3,150m/5 hours walk)., overnight at lodge.
Day 22 : Trek from Khanigaon to Tarakot (2,537m/5 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
Day 23 : Trek from Tarakot to Dunai (2,140m/5-6 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
Day 24 : Trek from Dunai to Jhuphal - 2-3 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
Day 25 : Fly from Jhuphal to Nepalgunj and then connect your flight to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu
