This 3-day trek begins at Sundarijal, on the northern edge of Kathmandu Valley, and enters the beautiful forest environment of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. The trail climbs through woodland and eventually reaches Chisapani, a peaceful hill settlement known for its mountain views and relaxed atmosphere.

On the second day, the trail continues from Chisapani to Nagarkot, passing through forests, rural settlements, farmland and ridgelines. Nagarkot is one of Nepal's best-known hill viewpoints and provides an excellent setting for an overnight stay.

The final morning begins with the opportunity to enjoy sunrise over the Himalayan ranges. After breakfast, travelers can choose between a shorter return to Kathmandu or continue hiking toward Changu Narayan, one of the Kathmandu Valley's important cultural heritage sites, before driving back to Kathmandu.
