Upon your arrival in Paro (2,250 m / 7,382 ft), a scenic 54 km/1-hour drive will take you to Thimphu. As you step into the mountain kingdom of Bhutan, our team will warmly greet you and facilitate your transfer to a centrally located hotel in Thimphu. Bhutan's modern capital, Thimphu, stands as a unique blend of contemporary development and ancient traditions, serving as the nexus for government, religion, and commerce. Surprisingly, with a population of around 90,000, it remains the world's only capital city without a traffic light. Later, a leisurely walk around the local marketplace, just a few minutes from the hotel, introduces you to the authentic Bhutanese arts and crafts at the local craft bazaar.

As you ascend to an altitude of 4,720m/15,485ft, a more elevated position unveils an even grander perspective of the mountains that adorn the horizon. Mt. Everest in Nepal graces the scene, offering one of the finest panoramic views. Portions of Mt. Kanchenjunga, straddling Sikkim and Nepal, come into focus. The Bhutanese peaks, including Mt. Jumolhari, Mt. Jichu Drake, Mt. Tshering Gang, Mt. Tsende Gang, Mt. Gangche Ta, Mt. Khangbum, and Mt. Masang Gang, stand tall, visible in all their glory.

Descending from this panoramic perch, you'll pass through Yak herder huts, eventually leading to the Doccha Chhu river. Important Information for Bhutan Travel

Traveling to Bhutan:
Druk Air, the national airline of Bhutan, operates flights to Paro from various cities including Bangkok, Kolkata, Dhaka, Kathmandu, and New Delhi. Bhutan International Airport in Paro serves as the entry point, with a departure tax of Ngultrum (Nu) 300, approximately US$ 7, applicable for all destinations.
Overland entry and exit are possible through the Indian state of West Bengal into Phuntsholing in southwest Bhutan. Phuntsholing is a 4-hour drive from Bagdogra, the nearest Indian airport, and a 6-7 hour drive from both Gangtok (Sikkim) and Darjeeling. The journey from Phuntsholing to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, takes around 6 hours.
Note: Flight expenses are not included in the trip cost and vary based on flight sectors. Druk Air offers flights from multiple locations, and it is recommended to book flights to Bangkok due to daily flights to and from Paro.

Accommodations:
Luxury hotels and comfortable camping will be provided throughout the entire trip.

Meals:
All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are inclusive during your stay in Bhutan. Hotels offer a variety of cuisine, including Indian, Chinese, and continental options. Non-vegetarian dishes such as pork, beef, chicken, and fish are widely available. It is advisable to consult with the hotel or restaurant for recommendations on fresh and seasonal dishes.
