Being born in the nation full of natural beauty, I didn’t have the chance to explore its natural beauty. But this year, I decide to explore the beauty of my country, Nepal. This year I gave myself a chance to discover the sacred and mysterious land in the Himalayas. Not only me, there are many people who are enchanted in its wonderland. As I was born in Kathmandu, I have pretty much explored the places of Kathmandu. This time I am exploring other parts of Nepal.

I decided to start my journey by visiting Baleshwar Mahadev temple which was on Chandragiri hills. It was newly discovered place to the dwellers of Kathmandu. It took me half hour from my home to reach to cable car station. I could see some of the snow clad peaks popping the over the foothills of Himalayas. The cable car drive up was so admirable and satisfying. I could see entire Kathmandu valley from the windows of cable car. It was such a wonderful feeling to witness the beautiful scenario. From cable car station on the hills, I walk up to the Baleshwar Mahadev temple. Hindu devotes believe that the all-power Baleshwar Mahadev fulfils the wishes of all who come to pay homage to him in Chandragiri Hills. It is believed that the people who came here to worship Baleshwar get their wishes fulfilled and that they will find abode in the Shivloka or Lord Shiva’s world in their afterlife.  I walked to the temple and its surroundings. The balconies in the outskirt of the temple give the breath taking views. I was so amazed with the beauty I can see from those balconies. From the balconies, one could see most of the Himalayan range and the entire Kathmandu valley. The viewing platforms also include some binoculars to bring those peaks even closer.  I clicked some picture and return back from there. Chandragiri Hills was really amazing, I recommend all you to visit it once in your lifetime.

After that, I decided to go to Muktinath, which is another religious place. Muktinath is popular Bishnu temple, sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists, located in Muktinath Valley at the foot of Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang. It is one of the highest temples in the world, built at an altitude of 3800m. I took a flight to Pokhara. It took me around 20-25mins to reach Pokhara. I decided to check on Tal bahari temple, which is in the centre of Fewa Lake. I stayed at Pokhara that nighrt. Next morning,  I took a mountain flight from Pokhara to Jomsom so that I could visit Muktinath the same day. Further, I took a jeep to reach Muktinath temple. It took me nearly 1.5hrs to reach there. The jeep dropped me certain distance from the temple and I have to walk around 100-200 steps to reach the temple. On reaching the temple, I felt worthy of all the breaks throughout my journey. The main deity of Muktinath temple was of gold and it also has 108 bull faced in the outer courtyard which pour holy water. It felt so good after visiting Muktinath. The memories of this temple will always be cherished.

From the trips I learned many things and experience various things. I get a chance to know myself better, also I learn about my limits both physical and mental and my openness to new ideas. It was all about pushing yourself a bit more when people were about to give up, and about keeping yourself calm when most of the people lose it . I will never be able to write that experience in any better word or capture those pictures. These are the adventure I will never forget in my lifetime. I am so proud of myself that I made it.
