Lockdown in Nepal officially ends from today, with some restrictions!

Today, the government of Nepal has officially announced that the lockdown which was imposed to control the pandemic Covid 19 Corona Virus ends from today midnight. However, some restrictions will still be same as earlier till the risk of pandemic which does not fully controlled.

Nepal was in fully lockdown from March 24 which was extended till today midnight. The government today, organized a press conference in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, to confirm the end of lockdown. Spokesperson and Finance minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada said – ‘cabinet meeting held on Monday, decided to end the lockdown.

Earlier, 'people claimed that the Mount Everest could be seen from kathmandu during lockdown due to clear air and environment.' 

 

The cabinet decisions from today’s meeting are –

  1. Hotels, Restaurants will be allowed to open from July 31 2020 but hosting parties and gathering of more people, still restricted.
  2. Suspension on flights (domestic & international) will also end on August 17 2020.
  3. Local public transportation to transport within city or district are opened but the long route transportation will be resumed from August 17 2020.
  4. Health clubs, Swimming Pools, Salons & Beauty Parlors, Zoos, museums will remain closed till further announcement.

 

The happiest moment for the traveler and Trekking and Tour operator is – business will resume from July 31st 2020.

 

Earlier, Bhaktapur had opened six tourist centers after unofficial loose down
