Visit Nepal 2020 is just started from today; all states of Nepal organized different program to start the year and Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu hosted an inauguration ceremony of Visit Nepal 2020 this evening. Traditional music and cultural dances were among major attraction of the evening. President Vidhya Devi Bhandari, ministers and foreign and tourism ministers, officials from many countries were guests of the opening ceremony. More than 50 international media were here in Kathmandu for the reporting. Nepal now officially enters in the year 2020, hoping to welcome more than 20 million of tourists in this year, which to count double in following years. Country will organize various programs in each state.
Due to the various reasons, Nepal is yet to be discovered by the world. The first reason is political instability and lack of the maintained system in bureaucracy. Anyway, NOW The Nepal is on its course on development and the major share of its source is being tourism industry and the Government of Nepal, Tourism authority including Nepal Tourism Board has announced the Visit Nepal 2020 with slogan of Life Time Experiences. Actually, the government had planned to celebrate ‘Visit Nepal Year-2018 as it was organized once in 1998 but it got postponed due to the delay of reconstruction of airports, roads and heritage sites because of horrific earthquake of 2015. The concept of Visit Nepal 2020 comes under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation which is protest to upgrade ‘Destination Nepal’. This concept is mainly focused to increase the number of national and international travellers which directly helps in economy of Nepal. Nepal is fifth among the top 10 countries to visit in the world but get number one valued Destination in the world.
