It is believed that when India opened the Railways, many Nepalese who were working in India, start returning home and due the rush traffic in Railways and its stations as well as while crossing the border, they might get infected. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli mentioned this reason in his style saying – The coronavirus of India is much dangerous than the coronavirus which started from China. Later, his statement became viral in India (made by Indian media) when Nepal released its map including the areas of Lipulekh and Limipiyadhura which India had included in their map released on last November. The fact was, first coronavirus case in Nepal was a Nepali Student who was just returned home from Wuhan, China and had been cured staying about a week in the hospital.

country is fully lockdown, but numbers of citizens from abroad are coming every day. Respective local governments are facilitating their available trucks and tractors to bring locals as private and school buses are completely not in operation. Government schools are being quarantine. Many people with other disease are passing away due to lack of transportation and health facility in their place. The government has totally been failed again to contribute necessary efforts, People believe the ministers and concern persons along with their mans are literally busy for personal economic benefit.

SAARC Covid-19 Emergency Fund had been funded by 8 SAARC nations. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are the member countries of SAARC but it doesn’t look cooperative in order to stop the pandemic.

Latest Update of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Nepal

The first case of Covid-19 Coronavirus in Nepal was a Nepali student who had returned from Wuhan, China and had completely recovered. Nepal looked very slow or not effected till the toll was nearly 40 but when Jamati Islamic teachers were found infected in group this went to cross the 100 mark in short period and when India opened the Railways and let Nepalese back home it dramatically climbed to 4,000. 584 patients out of total 4,086 has totally been recovered where 15 people couldn’t fight well and passed away. 3,487 are active cases as of now and few of them are very serious. People are blaming government for failing their strategy. It looks government have no second or third plan where the plan one totally failed to stop spreading the virus. Though, Nepal had enough time to learn from other countries and plan well to control the situation.

Few hundreds of shopkeepers came to open their shops but they were forcefully closed by polices in Kathmandu last week. Police forced disperse some activists in peaceful protests outside prime minister’s residence in Baluwatar by water cannons and batons at protest against government’s handling of the pandemic yesterday, where activists were demanding better solution than lockdown and enough tests. Some reports say – collection of swab samples halted due to limited numbers of PCR machines.
