Itinerary

After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our airport representative will greet you with khada (typical traditional Tibetian/Nepali scaff using for greetings) and escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you can take rest or explore the streets of Thamel nearby your hotel. In the evening, we will organize a short pre-trip meeting and introduce you with your trekking guide, who will brief you about the preparations to be done for the trip. Overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast, at around 9 am, our guide and driver will pick you from your hotel and you will go for the sightseeing of famous UNESCO world heritage sites around the valley.

Pashupatinath (World heritage site)

The world-famous Hindu temple, Pashupatinath is regarded as one of the holiest and oldest Hindu temples in the world. This temple is located 5km east from the city center at the bank of the holy Bagmati River. Pashupatinath area is widely decorated by various ornaments dedicated to Lord Shiva. As followed by the Hindu Culture, the cremation of the dead is done in the Pashupatinath area by the side of the bank of the holy Bagmati River.

Swyambhunath / Monkey temple (World heritage site)

Swyambhunath, also named as the monkey temple because it is surrounded by monkeys all over the area. Famous for people following both Hinduism and Buddhism, this temple not only provides the cultural and religious aspects but also offers various arts, architecture and the magnificent view of the Kathmandu valley from the western side of its hillock. Swyambhunath Stupa is imprinted by the eye of Lord Buddha, which stands for peace and knowledge.

Boudhanath (World heritage site)

Boudhanath is the oldest and the largest stupa in the valley, which was built during the Licchhavi dynasty in the 5th century around 2500 years ago. Its old name is ‘Khasa’ but later it was changed to Bouddhanath by the government. You will find many Buddhist pilgrims and monks from Tibet and various places going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels.

Patan Durbar Square (World heritage site)

Patan Durbar Square is situated at the center of the Lalitpur city. The main attraction of Patan Durbar Square is the ancient Royal Palace, where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided. There are many temples and idols in this area. You can also explore the Newari lifestyle, food, and culture in the square and visit museums that contain many ancient items that have a lot of historical significance.

After your breakfast in your hotel, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and you will be dropped at Sundarijal (1350 m) within one hour, then your hiking will start for Chisapani. We will reach Chisapani in about 4 hours walk from Sundarijal. Local Tamang villages, agriculture fields, Shivapuri watershed, Forest of Oaks and Rhododendron are major attractions of the day in your four hour hike. Today you can feel the different climate within 1000 meter height from Kathmandu (1300 m) to Chisapani (2300 m).  Overnight at Chisapani in guest house.

After breakfast we start our walk towards Kutumsang. Up and downs hilly routes take your 5-7 hours to reach your destination. Some Bhanjyangs like Pathi Bhanjyang, Gul Bhanjyang are there to rest and click several pictures. Once we reach at 2620 m and down at 2446 m at Kutumsang we stay overnight.

After your breakfast in Kutumsang we start towards north up the Yurin Dada ridge from where snow towered peaks are just standing beside you to take the pictures. Rhododendron forests will be in your way where not a single houses can be found, you will feel a jungle walk. Finally we will reach Tharipati and stay in a guest house.

After breakfast we will start the walk as usual. 6th day of your trip goes towards Tarkeghyang in about 6 hours. Until Melamchi Khola we keep going down as the trail commands and after crossing Melamchi Khola stream, the trek goes up to Tarkeghyang. Tarkeghyang is a small Sherpa village where you can visit one of the oldest monasteries of Nepal. Overnight stay at guest house in Tarkeghyang.

After breakfast at Tarkeghyang, we start the trek and reach our today’s destination Shermathang in about 4 hours. The trail is comparatively easy for the day. Fland land becomes very easy for walk. Forests, streams, Villages are on your way today. Shermathang is another beautiful Sherpa village with having many aged monasteries. Overnight stay at guest house in Shermathang.

Today is your final day of this trek. A short hike of about 3 hours we will reach to Melamchi Pul. Melamchi Pul is a local market where people from nearest villages come for their trade. We can see some Sherpa Villages on our way. Once you reached at Melamchi Pul, will picked up and finally dropped at your hotel in Kathmandu.

Today is the last day of your trip. If you would like to stay more in Nepal; you have many options which can be shared with us upon request.
