Poon Hill is a famous view point in the Annapurna region which offers you the best mesmerizing sunrise view from the Himalayas and thrilling panoramic views of the Himalayas of Annapurna Massif.

The Poon Hill Trek – 6 days starts from a drive or fly to Pokhara then a drive to Nayapul via beautiful village Lumle. The journey takes you to the villages of the Magar and Gurung communities to explore more about them, their culture, tradition and lifestyle. The trail goes through forests blooming with rhododendron, oak trees, beautiful flowers, birds and wild animals.

You can see the beautiful views of mountains including Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mount Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna South (7219m), Mount Lamjung Himal (6,986m), Mount Nilgiri (6940m), Mount Hiunchuli (6441m) and many others.

After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our airport representative will greet you with khada (typical traditional Tibetian/Nepali scaff using for greetings) and escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you can take rest or explore the streets of Thamel nearby your hotel. In the evening, we will organize a short pre-trip meeting and introduce you with your trekking guide, who will brief you about the preparations to be done for the trip.

Early in the morning around 6 am you will be picked up from your hotel in Kathmandu by our driver then you will ride to Nayapul through Pokhara. You have an option to fly to Pokhara from Kathmandu (in extra price), Then we start our trek towards Tikhe Dhunga. The trail goes ascends climbing up to the small valley. Overnight stay at Tikhedhunga.

After your breakfast in Tikhedhunga we proceed for Ghorepani. We find a suspension bridge near Tikhedhunga and the trail ascends through stone steps, there are about 3300 steps to the beautiful village- Ulleri. Ulleri is a typical Magar village, one of the ethnic communities of Nepal. The trail then ascends little more through terrain fields and arrive Nangethanti. From Nangethanti we climb to our final destination of the day, Ghorepani. You can see outstanding view of Mount Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Mount Tukuche Nilgiri (6940m), Mount Annapurna I (8091m), Mount Hiunchuli (6441m), Mount Tarke Kang (7193m) and other small peaks. Overnight at guesthouse in Ghandruk.

Today we wake up early in the morning to catch a beautiful sunrise from Poonhill. Early in the morning we hike up to Poonhill. Poon Hill is a hill top station from where you can see breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas including Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Annapurna South, Mount Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and many other small peaks. We return back to Ghorepani for our breakfast and walk towards Tadapani. Overnight stay at guest house in Tadapani.

After your breakfast, we head descending down to Khimche to catch a vehicle for Kathmandu. You can fly from Pokhara in additional cost or you can stay at Pokhara for other trips including sightseeing in Pokhara valley. Else, we proceed for Kathmandu. Overnight stay at your hotel in Kathmandu. You can still extend your trip in Kathmandu valley. Please feel free to ask us.

Today is the last day of your trip. If you would like to stay more in Nepal; you have many options that can be shared with you upon request.
